Tolu is located close to some of the most attractive areas within the Caribbean, the Morrosquillo Gulf.
Historic architecture and an array of sporting activities to entertain, or if it’s a relaxing time you’re looking for, what better than to lay back and soak up the plentiful sun on the large sweeping beautiful beach, nearly 80 kms long!
Tolu has bounds of open space, a rich choice of restaurants, many specialising in locally caught sea food, and excellent shopping facilities, not to mention the spectacular night life and picturesque village.
A further short trip along the coast brings you to the famous "Volcan de Lodo" (Mud volcano).
Join a sailing tour inside the "Cienaga de La Caimanera" (Caimanera everglade), and marvel at the exotic wildlife, herons, reptiles, mangroves all in their natural habitate.
The world famous festival "Reinado Del Burro" (Donkey Kingdom) occurs during "Holy week".
Relax under the palm trees of Palma Island, dive the amazing corals of Mucura island or chill out on a boat trip over the beautiful corals of Tintipan island.
Bici-Taxi. They are the main way of transport inside Tolú. Drivers are good touristic guides too.
Gastronomy. Sea food is the main food source and beef too. You can eat delicious fish dishes like "ceviche", "pescado frito" and lobster.
San Bernardo islands . It is a must. From Tolú dock you can quickly travel to these island where to have a great day eating sea food and swimming in the clear blue water.
La Caimanera swamp. It is a must, as well. At twenty minutes away there is this swamp where you can spend some hours.
Mud Volcano Nice and healthy mud to have a really different experience.
